Surprise!!!!!

Here's a little surprise to spice things up throughout the rest of the challenges...

Introducing ONGOING CHALLENGES! Below you will find a list of 10 challenges. At any point during the remaining 11 weeks, you can complete these challenges on your layout entries and you'll receive 10 additional points. You can put as many as you want on one layout, or do them one at a time. It does have to be a layout created specifically as one of your Elsie entries. It can not be a separate layout. Make sense? When you email your entry to me, just make sure to point out which challenge(s) is included on it.

Alright...the list is below. I've include challenge or page numbers for those of you with the book. (all of the verbage below is straight from Elsie - no credit taken here!)

Challenge A
Hand cut brackets from patterned paper to highlight your journaling (p. 157)

Challenge B
Look at your photograph for an embellishment you can replicate on your page (p. 129)

Challenge C
Create a title with just one letter! (p. 135)

Challenge D
Use fabric paint to write your title on a transparency. Allow the paint to dry, then attach your title over a photo (p. 138)

Challenge E
Use conversation with friends and family members as journaling on your page. (p. 140)

Challenge F
Decorative-edged scissors are one of my favorite classic scrapbooking supplies. I love adding a pinking or scalloped edge to just a small portion of my layout. My advice? A little bit of pretty edge goes a long way, so use this tool with care - but do use it! (#37)

Challenge G
Convert a favorite photograph into a black and white image, then use it as the focal point photo on your page. It will draw your viewer's eye right into the essence of your layout! (#2)

Challenge H
Take an alphabetical approach to a layout. Experiment with letters on a scrapbook page - and make them your own by embellishing them in a way that suits your scrapbooking personality. (#17)

Challenge I
Need a fun way to start a page? It's easy - start with a number. Make a Top 10 List. Or, look for number-themed accents to build your page around. Numbers are everywhere! Build a page around a telephone number, a shoe size, an age, a year, a good luck number or more! (#38)

Challenge J
Make it Sparkle. I think there's room for something sparkly on almost every page. For this challenge, add a bit of sparkle to your next page. Remember to choose something that fits the mood of your layout and helps express your personality. Use just a little or a lot - whatever best helps tell your story.

Just a little bit of clarification on these: You are allowed to use & reuse these challenges over and over throughout the course of the Elsie challenge. So, you could do brackets around journaling on 3 different layouts and get 10 points for each (30 extra points total). However, you can't get more than 10 points for the same technique on one layout. So, if you had four sparkly things one page - you'd only get 10 points.

OHh, Fun!! I see some potentials in the list too!
Is is 10pts for each challenge used or 10pts overall, no matter how many challenges?
